Happy New Year!
With the new year, many folks aspire to make New Years resolutions to better themselves in the coming year, but it got me thinking about what New Years resolutions we can make for a better Royal Caribbean cruise in 2016.
The idea is to think of ways to have a more fun and amazing Royal Caribbean experience in the coming year.
Here are my top three New Years Royal Caribbean resolutions.
1. Do something completely different on a shore excursion
Regardless of where my Royal Caribbean cruises take me, I feel like I often do more of the same. Another all-inclusive resort, another island tour-by-bus, etc.
Perhaps it could be river tubing, jumping off a cliff, a cooking seminar or something else. But I want to break out of my habits and, to borrow an old Royal Caribbean marketing slogan, get out there!
2. Wake up early for the Dreamworks Character meal
I am lucky enough to have two wonderful children that are five years old and one years old, but we have never done one thing that we always aspired to: the Dreamworks character meal!
It is not like I do not want to do the Dreamworks character meal, but it always starts earlier than any of us want to wake up, 8am.
So this year, I will suck it up, get the kids up early and enjoy what is sure to be a really fun experience for parents and kids.
3. See another sunrise at sea
While on Anthem of the Seas earlier in November, I got up before dawn and saw my first sunrise at sea and loved it.
So this year, I want to do it one more time because the colors of the sky are gorgeous and there is no one around! It is like having the ship to myself.
